Collections Objections"I Don't Want My Deviations In This Collection!"Collections Objections by wynnesome
I believe I can speak for many deviants when I say that I was thrilled when the "Collections" feature became active here on dA. I had thought for some time that it would be really nice to be able to "sort" a large collection of art by theme. Collections are a great solution. Collections make it easier to enjoy our favorite dA art and artists, and to make our own favorite works more visible to other deviants who enjoy similar works.
However, since I became a Gallery Moderator, I've also had a couple of concerns arise, both through my own experiences, and brought to my attention by members of the community, regarding collections activity. I would like to inform the community that these concerns are known, that site staff has the issues under consideration, and that there are a couple of solutions currently available if this is a problem you have encountered.
I know that some deviants, including

Five Elements of Composition - PatternWhile repetition of daily life can at times be a little boring, however capturing it in your photography can create an image with real impact.Five Elements of Composition - Pattern by PeggyArmstrong
By both emphasizing pattern and breaking it you can add some dramatic effects to your photographs.
Here are just a few photographs here on dA that make good use of patterns:

Hello! I be Donna, feel free to use my real name, i'm not one of those paranoid types |
Primarily I'm an alternative portrait and wedding photographer, a mum of 2 amazing kids and married to my irish toyboy (win!)
But i'm also the Community Volunteer for the Artistic Nude gallery here on dA, i have a passion for amazing, eyecatching, thoughful, inspirational photography and i'm very proud to be able to show you some of the fantastic art that is created and posted here right in this little corner of cyberspace.
i am always ALWAYS happy to impart advice on photography, life and the universe. i am also very good at sniffing out the latest dArama and rolling around in its dirty mess and getting its stink all over me. oh yes, i can be relied upon to provide the lulz. in fact, i think some of my watchers watch me for that very reason. why? because its a website, and as much as i love my friends and my art, it amuses me to see how much people consider it to be the be-all-and-end-all of life, like the opinion of someone 3000 miles away means so much to them.
